Report Generation
Working with UAD 3.6 forms
What the UAD 3.6 form workflow looks like and why structured data, not layout, is what you focus on.
UAD 3.6 is built around structured data rather than a single fixed form layout. In practice that changes where your attention goes when you build a report.
Data first, layout second
Instead of filling a rigid template, you capture clean, structured data and the report is generated from it. The work shifts toward getting the underlying data right, because that is what everything downstream is built on.
Fill the structured fields
Wherever a specific field exists for a piece of information, prefer it over a free-text note that approximates it. A data-first standard rewards information that lands in the field it belongs in.
Where to go next
Once your data is in, see “Compliance checks” for how the report is checked before submission, and “MISMO XML output” for how it is packaged for delivery.
