ValueSwell ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, desktop software, and website (collectively, the "Services").

Information You Provide

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Inspection Data: Photos, voice recordings, transcriptions, and property information you capture using our mobile app.
• Payment Information: Billing details processed through our secure payment provider.
• Communications: Messages you send to us through support channels.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
• Location Data: GPS coordinates attached to photos (only when you grant permission).
• Usage Data: How you interact with our Services, features used, and performance metrics.

Optional website analytics

Website usage analytics starts only after you accept non-essential cookies. We use limited interaction and conversion events to understand whether visitors can complete the workflow. Marketing analytics excludes property evidence, email addresses and full page URLs; session recording is disabled. Necessary account, payment, security and service operations continue when analytics is rejected.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
• Process transactions and send related information
• Transcribe voice notes and extract structured data
• Sync your inspection data across devices
• Send you technical notices and support messages
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity

You may save permitted MLS evidence from your own browser session. Public-record sourcing and evidence processing can run in the cloud. Retained source data is:

• Processed in secure cloud environments with encrypted connections
• Processed by our AI services for field extraction, reconciliation, and compliance checking
• Screenshots stored as audit evidence in your private workfile for USPAP compliance
• MLS sign-in stays in your browser. You navigate and explicitly capture permitted pages. The uploaded evidence may include the saved page HTML, screenshot and source URL; review it for sensitive content before import.

Retained source records and activity logs show how evidence was used in each assignment and stay with the workfile for the retention period in section 8. Content hashes show that a capture has not changed since it was saved; they do not verify the accuracy of the source itself.

AI processing of inspection evidence

Depending on the feature, evidence you submit may be processed by AssemblyAI, OpenAI, Anthropic or Fireworks AI to transcribe recordings, extract property information, classify photos and prepare draft appraisal content. Submitted evidence can include property addresses, photos, audio, transcripts, sketches and saved source pages. These providers receive the information needed for the requested processing. Do not submit personal or MLS information you are not permitted to share. AI output requires your review and does not replace the appraiser's professional judgment.

The mobile app asks for explicit permission before submitting evidence for cloud AI processing. You can stop future mobile uploads in Account under Cloud AI processing. Revoking this permission does not recall information already submitted or cancel processing already underway. Contact privacy@valueswell.com for access or deletion requests relating to previously submitted information.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

• HTTPS connections to the web platform
• Authenticated access to private assignments and evidence
• Role and ownership checks on protected operations
• Review of hosting and processing requirements during procurement

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Companies that help us operate our Services (cloud hosting, payment processing, AI services).
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger or acquisition.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of certain data processing

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. Workfile records (assignments, reports, captured source evidence, inspection data, and change history) are retained for at least five years from the date each assignment was created, and longer while a legal hold applies, consistent with appraisal record-keeping requirements. You can permanently delete an assignment that was never signed, submitted or delivered; once a report is signed, its workfile can’t be deleted during that period. You can request account deletion through the app settings. Deletion disables sign-in and removes account assets; workfile records, payments, and audit records remain for the retention period. Contact us for copies of retained records or to request a legal hold.

Our Services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Services.
