Walk and talk: "Living room left, kitchen ahead, hall to two beds." Drafter draws the plan from your words while you finish the inspection.
Add measurements
Call out dimensions as you measure, or edit the generated plan in the floor plan editor before it lands in the report.
ANSI-aligned GLA
Gross living area calculated to ANSI Z765 conventions — the number lenders and AMCs expect, without a measuring wheel spreadsheet.
Editable before delivery
Move a wall, rename a room, fix a dimension. The plan is yours to adjust before it locks into the report sketch page.
Straight into the report
The finished plan drops into the sketch exhibit automatically — labeled, dimensioned, and formatted the way reviewers want it.
Floor plan questions
- Do I need special hardware or LiDAR?
- No. A phone camera and your normal field sketch are enough. Narrating dimensions improves accuracy, but nothing beyond your phone is required.
- Is the floor plan ANSI compliant?
- Plans are drawn and measured to ANSI Z765 conventions, and the GLA is calculated from the plan geometry. You review and approve everything before it goes in the report.
- What if the plan comes out wrong?
- Edit it. The floor plan editor lets you adjust walls, rooms, and dimensions before the plan is placed in the report. Drafter gets you 95% there; you keep final say.
- Does it cost extra per plan?
- No. Floor plans are included in every report — no per-plan add-on fee like standalone sketching services.
